Privacy policy
Last updated: 20 October 2026
In short
- This website has no accounts, no forms and no cookies.
- We do not want to know who you are or what your sexual orientation is.
- Like every website, our hosting server records your IP address when you visit.
- We count visits anonymously, and only if you allow Statistics in the cookie settings.
- Our hosting company and our email provider handle data on our behalf. They may not use it for their own purposes.
1. Who is responsible
X-MO Media B.V.
Hengeveldstraat 29
3572 KH Utrecht
The Netherlands
For any question about your data, write to info@xmo.tv or call +31 (0)30 820 0982.
2. What data we process
- Server logs. When your browser opens a page, the server records technical data of the request. This includes your IP address, the time of the visit and your type of device.
- Country suggestion. To suggest your country in Where to watch, our server looks up the country of your IP address in a local file (the DB-IP Lite database). Your IP address is used only for that lookup: it is not stored and not sent to anyone. You can always choose another country.
- Choices on your device. Your browser can keep up to three small items: your answer to the age notice, your cookie choice and your language. On days with the Watch X-MO on your TV button, the open tab also remembers, until you close it, that the button already appeared. These items stay on your device and are not sent to our server. See the Cookie policy.
- Your emails. If you write to info@xmo.tv, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and your message.
- Phone calls. If you call us, we may note your name, your number and the reason for your call.
- Visit counts. If you allow Statistics in the cookie settings, an anonymous counter on our own server adds your visit to daily totals. It loads no analytics from other companies. What it counts is in the Cookie policy.
You do not have to give us any data to use this website. The server logs are made automatically when a page is sent to you.
3. Why we process it and on what legal basis
| Why | What data | Legal basis (article 6 GDPR) |
|---|---|---|
| To send you the pages and keep the website safe from misuse | Server logs | Our legitimate interest: we need to run the website and protect it (article 6(1)(f)). |
| To suggest your country in Where to watch | Your IP address, only during the lookup | Our legitimate interest: we want to show you the TV providers of your country straight away (article 6(1)(f)). |
| To answer your email or your call | Your email address, phone number, name and message or reason for the call | Our legitimate interest: we want to answer the people who contact us (article 6(1)(f)). |
| To remember your choices | Items kept in your browser | We do not receive this data. The rules for storing it are in the Cookie policy. |
4. Data about sexual orientation
X-MO is a TV channel for gay men. So a visit to this website could suggest something about your sexual orientation. The law gives this kind of data extra protection (article 9 GDPR).
We do not ask for this data and we do not try to work it out. This is what we do:
- Our hosting company records your IP address in its server logs on our behalf, as described in section 2. X-MO does not store it in its own database or in any visit counter.
- We do not look at the server logs to find out who visits, except to deal with misuse.
- This website sets no cookies and has no accounts or forms.
- We do not build profiles and we do not make lists of visitors.
- This website loads no services from other companies, such as advertising, social media or analytics.
- This website has an anonymous visit counter that runs on our own server. It counts only if you allow Statistics in the cookie settings. It does not store your IP address, does not set a cookie and does not follow you from one visit to the next. What it counts, including the test of the Watch X-MO on your TV button, is listed in the Cookie policy.
5. Who receives your data
Hostinger International Limited (61 Lordou Vironos str., 6023 Larnaca, Cyprus) hosts this website. It runs the server and keeps the server logs on our behalf. The law requires a contract that obliges Hostinger to protect your data. That contract is Hostinger’s data processing agreement. It is part of Hostinger’s terms of service and applies as soon as we accept those terms, so there is no separate paper to sign.
Microsoft 365 handles our emails, including the info@xmo.tv address.
We do not sell your data and we do not give it to advertisers. On 13 October 2026 we checked that this website loads nothing from other companies.
6. Transfers outside the European Economic Area
The European Economic Area is the EU, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. Our website server is in the Netherlands, and Hostinger keeps its backup copies in Lithuania. Both countries are inside the area. We saw this in our hosting control panel on 14 October 2026.
Hostinger’s data processing agreement lists other companies that help Hostinger. If any of them is outside the area, Hostinger uses the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission (article 46 GDPR) to protect your data.
7. How long we keep your data
- Server logs: our hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps them for security, to stop abuse and to run the service. Hostinger does not publish a fixed period. In our control panel we can see the last 7 days, and we only look at them to fix problems or stop abuse.
- Emails and notes of calls: 3 months after we finish dealing with your message or call. Then we delete them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
- Choices on your device: they have no expiry date. They stay until you delete them in your browser. You can change your cookie choice at any time with Cookie settings in the footer.
8. Your rights
You have these rights over your personal data:
- Access: you can ask what data we have about you and get a copy.
- Correction: you can ask us to correct wrong data.
- Deletion: you can ask us to delete your data.
- Limit use (restriction): you can ask us to use your data only in a limited way.
- Objection: you can object when we use your data on the basis of our legitimate interest.
- Take your data with you (portability): you can ask for your data in a common format, to give it to someone else.
Write to info@xmo.tv. We answer within one month. If your request is complex, we can take two more months, and we will tell you why. Using your rights is free.
If we ever ask for your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. This does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.
9. Complaints
If you are not happy with how we use your data, please tell us first at info@xmo.tv.
You can also complain to a data protection authority. You can choose the one in the EU country where you live, where you work, or where the problem happened. In the Netherlands this is the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Dutch Data Protection Authority), autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl.
10. Links to other websites
This website links to the websites of TV providers. X-MO does not control those websites. It is not responsible for their content or for how they treat your data. Please read their own privacy policies.
11. Minors
This website is only for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If we learn that a minor has sent us a message, we delete it.
12. No automated decisions
We make no automated decisions about you and we build no profiles. The list of TV providers only shows the providers for the country we suggest or the one you choose.
We do not receive data about you from other sources.
13. Security and changes to this text
This website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS). The fonts and all other files come from our own server.
If we want to use data in a new way, we will update this page first. The date at the top shows the last change.
